+8 JDZ-CERAMIC EXHIBITION- ARTIST INTRODUCTION

Associate Professor, Music and Fine Arts University, Ankara-Turkey. She received her Associate Degree,in 2001 at Ege University- Department of Industrial Ceramic Design. In 2005, Bachelor’s Degree (BFA); Hacettepe University- Faculty of Fine Arts- Department of Ceramic and Glass. In 2013, Master’s Degree (MFA); Gazi University- Institution of Educational Sciences- Department of Fine Arts Education. In 2019, PhD Degree; Hacettepe University- Institution of Fine Arts- Department of Ceramic. In 2008, she enrolled in the Ceramic Department at Harvard University and worked there as an International Visiting Artist until 2010.Her artistic exploration involves two core concepts: on one hand, she focuses on the status of women in society, committed to expanding the boundaries of women’s freedom while pursuing social recognition; on the other hand, she utilizes the concept of seeds of natural regeneration, aiming to stimulate social awareness and question the human perception of the destruction of the natural environment.Her works are exhibited in the permanent collections of official and private institutions, especially in America, Argentina, Romania, Turkey and China. She participated in more than 30 ceramic workshops and symposiums as an invited artist and participated in more than 100 group exhibitions. She also has 7 solo exhibitions and 7 international awards. She currently continues her artistic and academic work as a resident artist in 2024 Taoxichuan Art Center- International Ceramic Residency Program Jingdezhen, China.
